Accessibility Statement

LUOSKO German Shepherd Dog Rescue wants this website to be clear, readable and usable for as many visitors as possible, including people with disabilities.

Our commitment and target standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a target standard. We have not yet completed a formal WCAG conformance assessment, so we do not claim full WCAG compliance at this stage. We are working towards formal assessment and will update this statement when it is complete.

Supported accessibility features

  • Semantic HTML, headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page.
  • Keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences where animations are used.
  • Responsive layout that adapts to mobile and zoomed views.
  • Alt text on meaningful images and decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
  • Larger, comfortable text sizing and readable line lengths.

Known limitations discovered through testing

  • Some third-party embeds — such as the Donorbox donation form and embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos — are provided by external services and may not meet the same standard. We gate the donation form behind your consent and offer a bank-transfer alternative.
  • Some older content pages may have colour-contrast or heading-order issues we are still reviewing.
  • Dynamic content loaded after page load (for example live statistics) may not always announce changes to screen readers.
  • Some interactive components in the admin Rescue HQ area are not part of the public website and are not covered by this statement.
