This website provides general information about German Shepherd Dogs, rescue, adoption, fostering, welfare and our charity. The content is not a substitute for professional veterinary, legal, behavioural or training advice tailored to your dog and circumstances. Always consult an appropriately qualified professional for specific concerns.

Health, behaviour and welfare information is based on published evidence and our rescue experience, but it is general guidance. It may not apply to every dog. Legal references reflect the position in England and Wales unless stated otherwise and may change over time. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship between you and LUOSKO unless you enter a formal agreement with us.

Submitting an adoption, foster, rehoming or access application does not guarantee a placement or access. LUOSKO assesses each application and each dog carefully and makes decisions in the best interests of the dog. We may decline an application or close it without giving detailed reasons, and our decisions are final at this stage. You can ask for feedback and we will respond where we reasonably can.

You agree to use this website lawfully and respectfully, to give accurate information when you contact us or apply for something, and not to misuse forms, harass staff or volunteers, attempt to disrupt the site, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing or misleading. We may restrict access where this is not honoured.

The LUOSKO name, logo, written content, photographs and design on this site are owned by LUOSKO or used with permission. You may share links to our pages for non-commercial purposes. Please contact us before reproducing our content or photographs commercially. User-submitted stories and photographs remain owned by the person who submitted them; by submitting, you give LUOSKO permission to publish them on our site where you have confirmed permission to publish.

When you submit a story, photograph, review or correction, you confirm that the content is yours to share, that you have permission for any people (especially children) shown, and that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We moderate submissions and may edit, decline or remove them. Your contact details are never published.

This site links to external websites (for example official bodies, partner organisations and services). Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. LUOSKO is not responsible for the content or practices of external sites. External links open through a leaving-luosko interstitial so you know you are leaving our site.

Donations and sponsorship are processed by third-party payment services (such as Stripe, Donorbox and PayPal). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the transaction. LUOSKO does not store your full card or bank details. Recurring gifts can be cancelled through the payment provider at any time. See our privacy notice for how we handle donation information.

We aim to keep this website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change or remove content and features at any time, and we may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows when these terms were last updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
