Our Safeguarding Commitment
LUOSKO takes safeguarding seriously. Safeguarding means protecting children and adults at risk from harm, abuse or neglect in connection with our activities.
This page is a public statement of our approach. LUOSKO's full safeguarding procedures are internal and are not published here, to protect the people involved and the integrity of any process.
We follow Charity Commission guidance for charities and trustees on safeguarding and protecting people, and we review our approach as part of good governance.
Children
We consider the presence and wellbeing of children in adoption, fostering, volunteering and event settings, and act on concerns about a child's safety.
Adults at risk
We consider the circumstances of adults at risk who come into contact with LUOSKO through rehoming, bereavement support, volunteering or fundraising.
Raise a Safeguarding Concern
If you believe a child or an adult at risk is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first. Otherwise, you can raise a safeguarding concern with LUOSKO directly.
Call 999 if a person is in immediate danger. A safeguarding form is not an emergency route.
Do not include confidential personal details about another person in a public form. If your concern involves another person's safety, use the emergency route or contact us directly.
